Ignara AI is founded on the belief that lasting advances in AI depend equally on advances in infrastructure. The field's attention is overwhelmingly focused on models, training techniques, and applications — but the infrastructure layer underneath is largely borrowed from general-purpose systems not designed for AI.
Applications change quickly. Infrastructure must endure. A well-designed infrastructure platform built on correct abstractions provides leverage for every system built on top of it for decades.
Our research agenda is oriented around the infrastructure primitives that do not yet exist — or do not yet exist in a form adequate for the demands of the next generation of AI systems. We work at the layer beneath the model.
